How do I print in College?

by The ICT FAQ Monkey

Across each campus you will see large printers with card readers on them. These are ICT Print Service printers and you can print to any of these from any computer in the College. When you print to them it stores the information on your account and then any printer you swipe your card on will let you print out the document using the touch screen menu.

To find out where you can add money to your account: How to Add Credit

For costs, broken down by each department: Departmental Charges

To use your own computer for printing on campus, go to the ICTprintservice website and select “print from this PC”.

    hi Leron

Please bring your Macbook along to the ICT service desk so that we can take a look… We’re on level 4 of the Sherfield building.

  2. Leron says:

Trying to connect my personal mac to print I have changed my account name to short college login (and IC\login) and installed the apple drivers, but when I print nothing goes through to the printers. Is there something I am missing?

    Many thanks, Leron.

  3. Jack says:

There are no ICT printers which can do this, but there is an ‘office depot’ on the south Kensington campus that shoul dbe able to help with visa photo printing.

Hi Cristina putting ic\ before the username in the username field should set the domain to ic. If it isn’t and you are using a laptop please bring it along to the ICT service desk. If it’s a desktop please call us on 0207 594 9000

  6. Cristina says:

    Hi Jack,
My user name is not accepted. The domain is not ic, it is the name of the computer. How can I change my present domain to ic? Thanks for your help.

  7. Jack says:

    hi Cristina,

Please try putting ic\ before your username and see if you are then able to access the installer.

  8. Cristina says:

If I try to install the drivers to print from my personal computer, it does not accept my user name and/or password. How can I fix it?

  9. The ICT FAQ Monkey says:

On your Mac, go to the Apple icon (top left) and then select System Preferences from the menu and then ‘User Accounts’

You’ll see your current accounts there and then you can click the ‘+’ button to add a new account. When adding your new account, make sure all the names match your Imperial College username.

    Hope that helps.
