Once you have accepted an offer in Student e-Service, you will be prompted to answer some questions regarding who will be responsible for the payment of your College fee (tuition fees).

If you are to fund your studies yourself, or if your family are to fund your studies, please select the ‘I accept responsibility for the payment of my own College Fee’ option

If you are to be sponsored, please select the’ Responsibilty for the payment of my College Fee will be accepted by a sponsoring organisation’. If details of your sponsor have not yet been finalised, please select the “self-funded” option and once details of your sponsorship have been confirmed, please email the details, remembering to state your CID, to the appropriate admissions team

by James Tilley

The Academic Technology Approval Scheme was launched on 1st November 2007. Under this scheme, all non-EEA students who need a student visa to come to the UK to do a degree in certain subject areas, will be required to apply for ATAS clearance before applying for Student Entry Clearance (visa).

Any students already in the UK who need to extend their student visa to commence or continue on one of the relevant courses, will also need to get ATAS clearance before making a student visa extension application

Information on research degree thesis submission can be found on the Exams webpages

Uploading a proposal summary for the first time: You may have received an email asking you to enter details of your research proposal into your Student e-Service record. If you have been asked to do this then please ensure that you do so, regardless of what information you may have already supplied to us. Please do not send us your summary by email.

To enter this information, please login to your Student e-Service account. Having logged in please click the ‘Course Information’ tab, followed by the ‘Research’ link in the top left hand hand corner. You can then paste or type your summary into the text box, remembering that you have a maximum of 2000 characters (note – not 2000 words). Once you have entered your summary please check it carefully before you click ‘Submit’, because once you do that you will be unable to amend it yourself.

Editing your summary: If you have submitted a summary then you are unfortunately not able to amend it yourself. If you do need to make a change please email the Records team with details of this.

by James Tilley

Imperial College London’s TOEFL institution code is 0891.

If you are taking the TOEFL IBT (Internet based test), then please email a copy of your results to us and we can verify the results online. The email should be sent to the appropriate admissions team

If you are taking the TOEFL PBT, then you will need to ask ETS to send us your results, you will need to give them our institution code which is 0891.

If you are taking an alternative approved test and we make you an offer, we will need a copy certified by your school or an original.
