Should I submit separate personal statements for both choices on my Postgraduate application?

Imperial has no specific guidelines regarding the submission of personal statements for first and second choices. It would be acceptable to send a single personal statement which covers your interest in both choices.
Alternatively, if you wish to send a more course specific statement, you could submit your application with a personal statement for your first choice initially. If you are unsuccessful with your first choice application, you could then submit a statement for your second choice directly to the Admissions Team via email, which would then be attached to your application
I have been asked to provide a reference for a postgraduate applicant. Is there any guidance available?

Imperial College has no specific requirements for an acceptable reference. Imperial is looking for referees to comment on their knowledge of the applicant’s strengths and academic ability, as experienced by the referee, and their suitability for further study at Imperial College. A letter of recommendation is therefore sufficient.
There is no deadline for submitting a reference, however departments may delay considering an application or making a decision until we have received both of an applicant’s references, so uploading it as soon as possible would prevent any delay in the processing of any application.
