What is provided in the room in College accommodation?

November 17, 2010
by James Tilley

All study bedrooms are equipped with a bed, study desk, chair, wardrobe, shelving, desk lamp, curtains, chest of drawers, notice board, book shelf/case. If you are diabetic and require a refrigerator in your room please email the Student Hub Team on accommodation@imperial.ac.uk with subject heading “Refrigerator”, with your CID number.

Ordering bedding or a kitchen pack in advance is a great way of reducing the amount of stuff you bring with you and it removes all the hassle of shopping for the things you need!

You will also need to bring a network cable but, if you don’t bring one then you can purchase one when you arrive from the Imperial College Union shop.

As an undergraduate student you are guaranteed a place in  Imperial College accommodation for your first year of study. For 2011 entry, this is provided that you:

  • have accepted an unconditional academic offer by Friday 26 August 2011
  • have completed and returned your Application for Residence form by Friday 29 July 2011
  • will be attending Imperial College for the full academic year, and
  • have not had a place in university or college accommodation while attending a full-time course at a UK university previously.

If you apply for accommodation after 29 July 2011, we will provide as much assistance as possible, but cannot offer any guarantee of accommodation.

If you have any queries about accommodation, please contact the Student Accommodation Office directly
