Global village
Imperial is undoubtedly an international university, with 158 nationalities represented among our staff and students. But when the summer term comes to a close, the international vibe by no means fades, with countless languages filling the JCR spoken by students who come to Imperial for summer courses or placements. Among the visitors on the South Kensington Campus this week are students from the Korean Science Academy of Kaist and Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University who are undertaking research placements in some of Imperial’s Departments including Bioengineering and Chemistry. All will return home full of stories of Imperial and we hope will act as ambassadors for our work. Whether you are staying here or heading abroad I hope you enjoy the summer. While the print Reporter will take a rest during August, log onto Reporter online where we will continue to update you on news from the Imperial community.
