DSc for George
4 April 2012

Andrew George, Professor of Molecular Immunology (Medicine) and Director of the Graduate School, has been awarded the DSc degree of Imperial College London.
His research for the doctorate involved investigating ways to prevent transplants from being rejected by the immune system. His group was the first to genetically modify corneas – an approach that could be used to block rejection in corneal transplantation. “I was very pleased and proud to get my DSc from Imperial,” said Professor George.
