Dr Greg Pavliotis and Professors Richard Craster and Andy Parry (Mathematics) have been awarded funding of £678,000 by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to investigate three fields of wave study in applied maths.
They aim to predict the how waves reflect off designed structured surfaces and how they change when they encounter a micro-patterned surface. They also hope to model how waves diffuse through a physical mesh.
