Hear from Imperial’s video stars
30 May 2012

The videos from this year’s TedX Imperial event are now online, allowing those unable to get tickets for the popular conference to watch the day’s talks.
TedX Imperial, held in March, explored connections between science, design, and innovation, and their impact on the human experience, through a series of a talks by Imperial staff, students and visiting speakers.
Over 700 guests attended the day, held on Imperial’s South Kensington Campus. The volume of Tweets from participants and audience members, using the event’s hashtag #TEDxIC, led to the topic trending on Twitter in the UK.
The event was organised by a team of Imperial students, under the TedX banner, Ted being a not-for-profit organisation which promotes the spreading of new ideas.
Among the speakers was the programmer and writer John Graham-Cumming, whose talk on Charles Babbage’s Analytical Machine has had over 27,000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded.
