Reporter publishes obituaries for current or former members of staff. A colleague or former colleague is invited to share their memories of the deceased. Obituaries featured in the newspaper are up to 200 words. A high resolution photo (300dpi) is also required.

Reporter online will also publish obituaries and tributes to people who have had links with the College – please contact the Editor to discuss. Suggested information to include in tributes to former members of staff:

  • Birth date
  • Place and date of death
  • Details of their role at Imperial – start date, job title, length of service
  • Where they went to university and what they studied
  • If an academic – area of expertise and papers published
  • Promotions / how their role developed
  • What they enjoyed about their job
  • Did they work with staff / students? How were they regarded?
  • Involvement in College activities and events
  • What they were known for at Imperial
  • Any hobbies
  • Any reflections on their personality
  • What they will be remembered for
  • Names of immediate family members they have left behind
