Buffet 4121 Intermediate Oboe, Good condition, Used for grades 3 to 8

I’ve owned this Buffet 4121 for 7 years (since 2003) and it has served me very well from grade 3 up until now where I am regularly playing concertos with my university Chamber Orchestra.

I would recommend it to a beginner or someone who has been playing for a few years with a hired/borrowed instrument and is now looking for their own first oboe.

The price is £850 ono. I’m selling as I am about to buy an S40c and I hope to move on to music college once I have finished my first degree (Maths).

Below is the blurb from a well known music shop about this model of oboe.

The oboe is crafted in fine Grenadilla wood with a bore lined with Luracast, this is an instrument in a class of its own. Ideal for those just starting or for the more advanced, this oboe will help produce the lovely dark velvety sound that is usually associated with more expensive instruments.

Supplied complete with carry case, reed case and cork grease.

Features:Made from quality Grenadilla wood
Simplified conservatoire with thumb-plate
Silver-plated keys with thumb-plate
Semi-automatic

I can supply the oboe with its original valuation certificate from Howarth’s (value £1200 new) and in its original case.
