Another Monday, another thrilling showing of University Challenge. I opted for a more quiet setting in my living room this time round. My housemates and I watched triumphantly as our Imperial team effortlessly thrashed the guys from Edinburgh by no less than 130 points. Collectively we all got 7 questions correct as well, so I think it was a successful 30mins all round. Congratulations to Gilead, Simon, Ciaran, Benedict and Edward. Another job incredibly well done :-)

On a completely unrelated note, I finally got round to writing my “About Me” page, accessible from a link to the right of this post. Have a click, but note it will get a lot more interesting after I’ve scattered some old cheesy photos across it. Enjoy!!

Just returned home from a great atmosphere in the union after Imperial slaughtered (Jeremy Paxman’s words, not mine) St Hugh’s Oxford by a stunning 200 points. Gilead Amit was unstoppable throughout.

It was quite odd watching in the union. I am more used to being at my desk with a cup of tea and a small tally of how many correct answers I could produce (averaging around 4).  Each correct answer was met with an overwhelming cheer and the competitive child inside of me, that very rarely gets to see the light of day, leaped out and made me think of the lack of noise coming from the St Hugh’s union. It was a lot of fun supporting a team, especially when we won so convincingly :-P

A huge congratulations to the Imperial Squad for such an epic win. Good luck in the quarter finals!!

Just thought I’d quickly mention that Imperial are in University Challenge at 8 tonight. I’ve never really been too into Football, so I figure watching it in the union is a chance to feel the buzz of my team scoring a point goal in the big game match. Come on down and root for your geeks!!
