Hey guys,

I have been waiting for this moment for ages!!!! It is OFFICIAL, I graduated from my bachelor. I had to come down for my graduation ceremony and it was really emotional!!

I had 2 major concerns:

1. FALLING ON STAGE- Oh lord my heels were high and I did not want to embarrass myself.

2. MY NAME: I am used to getting my name tortured but I wanted the lady to get it right, at least just this time.

Good news: I didn’t fall!!! but then…My name got slaughtered!!! Seriously, I was like — WHAT THE HECK??!! Not even sure that was a name but hey, I couldn’t do anything, so i just laughed it off!

I am now officially done with BA and now concentrating on my Msc!! Hooorayyyy!!!

Mwaaaaahhhhhh

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven’t been posting for a week now! I’ve been very busy with university and when I had some free time, I tried doing everything EXCEPT from being infront of a computer.

Life at Imperial is still great do not worry, just very demanding. Last weekend I went with my classmates to this AMAZING Indian restaurant. I even dreamt of it during the night!! lol That’s how good it was. We do LOVE eating to be honest.

ALSO, I DO NOT HAVE MY AFRO ANYMORE, It was time for a change !

I always do things at the last minute and one thing you want to get BEFORE arriving in London, is this bloody OYSTER CARD. There is a special one for students.

I am telling you this because I do not want people to make the same mistake I did. I came here and during the first induction week, I had to pay 8 pounds PER day !! because I did not have my oyster card and ordered it late. It takes a week to arrive so please if you plan on going to the university by Bus, Tube, Land, Air, I can not stress it enough, buy it in advance. It will save you a lot of money.

Also, always have it on you, my speciality is to forget it home,- That is what I did AGAIN today, so I thought i’d share it with you-  walk all the way to the tube station, realise I forgot it, get pissed, think about buying just a card for the day, then no because its bloody expensive and i’m broke, and ending up going back home to get it and be late for lectures.

So very important – Buy your oyster card as soon as you are fully resgistered with the college and always have it on you.

Here is a little video that might be helpful

Hey guys,

Just a little post between assignments to show you around the business school. I have been busy with assignments but always had a few seconds for pictures.

I’m sorry i’m really bad with blog settings, ( GRRR) So I don’t know how to put the titles directly under the images. I’ll look further into it and ask for some help, but since I really wanted to post these pictures for you to see how it looks like around the uni. Just look down I numbered them and explained a bit.

Picture 1: The business school stairs. I am literally obsessed with them, I think the design is amazing.

Picture 2: The stairs AGAIN! lol , but it’s a night view, picture taken by my friend JUE.

Picture 3: Merry go round just around the corner. Planning to go there soon. Beautiful picture also taken by my friend JUE.

Picture 4: This was in an Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk from Imperial. My classmates and I, after our presentations/debates, decided to treat ourselves, relax and have a good meal all together. The name of the restaurant is PIERINO ( If I remember properly, and their lasagne was very good).

This actually leads me to another tip: PEOPLE, BUDGET!!! I swear, london is not know for being cheap, and if you don’t pay attention you’ll end up spending a hell of a lot of money, on unecessary things. BUDGETING is key when living here. Some of my friends come to uni, with their own food, at the beginning I was making fun of them ( you know how it is, lol) but I am actually considering that option too!! If you can eat home, or bring your own food, DO IT! It saves you a lot of money.

and oh … I’ve got another video coming up soon, so keep reading.

Till next time

When I thought about studying at Imperial, I knew it was going to be intense but not to this extent. Honestly, during my undergraduate degree it was all about partying, friends, love, SOCIAL LIFE and studying when you remembered to do so, which was usually before EXAMS. This year I know it’s going to be the other way round. Everything goes very fast, so you have to follow. My timetable is not the worst as I have approximately 16 hours per week, which is not too bad.  Even though I find myself falling asleep in some of them. –OOPS-

This leads me to important/basic TIP n°1: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SLEEP. Seriously, 5 hours of sleep will lead you nowhere, trust a self confessed party animal.

Tip n°2: I never used to have breakfast before, but after finding myself holding my belly, and praying for it not to rumble and embarrass myself a few times, which made me lose complete focus on the lecture, I found out it was essential to have something to eat before going to class, or bring your sandwich, NO KFC or PASTA of course but something to eat in other to stay focused and not get distracted.

Also, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, I wanted to do something a bit different than writing and posting pictures so I decided to make a little video. It is the first of a few, to show you guys around, interviewing different students to have their opinions.  CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I HAVE NO EDITING/ VIDEO MAKING SKILLS WHATSOEVER, I tried my best so don’t be too hard on me
