About Me

Trafalgar square, doing a silly pose. May 2011
Reuben is in his second year of studying for a Physics MSci undergraduate degree at Imperial College London.
As well as occasionally referring to himself in the third person in “About Me” pages, Reuben enjoys a diverse array of hobbies and interests (of which many have been facilitated by various clubs and societies at Imperial).
In his first year he did lots of rowing on the Thames (Boat Club), ate cheese once a week (Cheese Soc) and and met lots of lovely fellow Catholics (Cathsoc). In his second year he is probably going to be doing less rowing, more Judo (Judo Club), and singing (Choir). Reuben also likes to occasionally be a thespian, fulfill British stereotypes, play the odd game, drink the odd pint and meet nice new people.
This year Reuben has returned to live at Holbein and Willis Jackson Halls of Residence in the posh land of Chelsea after living there last year. There, Reuben is a “Hall Senior”. This is a voluntary role that requires Reuben to be nice to lots of the new residents, help them settle in to life in London, and organise lots of fun halls events.

The lovely snow in Devon. Christmas, 2010
Of course, Reuben doesn’t just live in Chelsea. He also lives in the heart of Devon, England’s best* county. Devon is a lovely place full of fields, farmers and nice people.
Reuben is very happy to answer email questions about life at Imperial as best he can. So feel free to email him at

Breaking from the third person, I hope you enjoy reading my blog.

Hi Reubs! Love the blog, adds a really nice touch to the Imperial website – especially for the up and coming students!! Was thinking of doing one myself, can you put me in contact with the organisers? I know you got my back. Once again, awesome blog.
Cheers Buddy,

Thanks man. I think the applications have finished now (I got it through an application process), but you can try emailing them if you like.
I applied via this application, so you could try emailing studentblogs@imperial.ac.uk.
