What came next was the Boxing Day! We girls were so excited about it!

We got up so early in Saturday and took the underground straight to our destination :Oxford Circus, the paradise of shopping~

You could not imagine how many people were there until you went there. People were crazy and the scene was unbelievable.

We just went into shops, but after a second we had to retreat since it was so crowded inside.

Shopping was a cool thing, but with so many people it suddenly became a disaster.

The sale was so attracting, but when you were the extremly crowded room and saw the long  queue in front of the cashier, you could feel the courage fading away`

We gradually lost our passion of shopping and started to get tired after a 4-hour and fruitless shopping.

What was great about the day was the lunch we girls had. As I always say gossip is the way girls build deep friendship.

We chatted all the way along the lunch and undeniably it was a quite nice chat~

On our way back, we were exhausted and decided never to go on  any  Boxing day~

First week of the holiday~

Finally I get a chance to review the first seven days of my first big holiday in London~

I almost spent the first two days sleeping and resting~

Then, I made myself a study schedule, but did not quite make it those days~

Days were boring before something really exciting happened~

A small party was organized among some intimate friends in Clayponds on Thursday—at Christmas Eve.

We had a great party that night, six of us.

Five of us actually took the same plane when we first came to London, which has made us really intimate friends ever since. It was quite a different feeling to describe and we have built a strong relationship during that trip~ Maybe because it was our first time to leave our families so far, we did not feel lonely during that trip for we were always together and cheered each up all the time~

It was kind of a reunion and I felt good about it`

The party took place at Xue’s flat and she prepared many plates of delicious food for us all. Besides, we each brought something nice to the party.

Our conversation during the dinner covered a wide range of aspects and we knew each other much better through it. We talked about our previous lives in China, our perspectives of love, our values in work and so on.

After dinner, we went to the tv room and played games together. Haha, it seemed that I had improved a lot during some orevious practice. I was no longer the last player~

After playing some Chinese games, we returned to her flat and continued our unfinished conversation.

Meanwhile, Xue was playing her once favorite Chinese singer’s song and we were so high.

It was definitely interesting to hear all those different views and started a fierce debate~

We could see that girls and boys really have quite different opinions on many stuff, like the value in love and something else. Even though, we still respected all the views~

We were so reluctant to call it a day until it was too late in the end~

Christmas eve

Yesterday, I saw an interesting TV show with my friend Erin, which was called ‘Wife Swap’.

Two families were in this show and their wives were exchanged between families.

One wife is a typical housewife and she has a big family to look after: 12 kids; the other one is an owner of a candy shop and has a relatively smaller family: 2 kids.

The focus of the former wife is her family and that’s what all she cares and she enjoys her life very much; On the other hand, the latter wife can not well balances her job and her families.

It was fun to watch the changes happened to the two families during this process. In the beginning, what you could see was happiness and harmony. But as time passed by, conflicts came out. They quarreled due to different family values and fought for the discomfort brought to them.

They gradually learned to appreciate their own life partners and miss the life they were leading before.

When the wives returned to their own families in the end, the show ended.

Both families become mature and have deeper understandings of their marriage and know to enjoy the great life they’ve already have.

It is a great show and provokes people to think.

Can not wait for Christmas~

Merry Christmas to everyone~

London can always surprise me in a surprising way~

I was totally shocked by the snow yesterday after a rainy day the day before yesterday~

When we were guessing if we would miss the snow on Christmas, it took our breath away by surprise.

Though in my hometown, we have been visited by the wild snow ever since early October, I was still wild with joy at that moment.

Standing by the window, I enjoyed the beautiful snowflakes falling from the sky silently.  Still, I didn’t have the courage to challenge the chilly weather to go outside, though I was so desperate to take some photos to memorize this special day.

I wished someone could take photos, but unfortunately, it seemed all the people just enjoyed the beautiful scenes as me without taking pictures. What a pity!

Besides, there was still some big surprising news for me this week~

I was so exciting when I saw the title: ‘Flawless Federer storms to historic first French crown’.

He was my favourite tennis player.

I have been a fan ever since I began to practice tennis.

When I had the chance to be a volunteer, I was so lucky to accompany with the General Secretary of International Tennis Federation.

I couldn’t describe the feeling when I first saw him in the tennis venue.

I enjoyed every moment of his matches.

Thanks for Ana, I had the chance to take a photo with him, which I would never dream in my whole life.

I am happy for his breakthrough in his tennis career, and undoubtedly he is one of the greatest sports players in history.

No hard work, no rewards~ And finally his hard work is paid~

PS:

Christmas is approaching and everyone is well prepared for it. However, what is horrible for us is that we will have the exams of four core courses right after the Christmas. I can foresee how I am going to spend my first ‘great’ Christmas in my dorm.

Wish everyone a Merry Christmas~
