The upgrade of the CMS servers is now complete and, touch wood, seems to have gone smoothly. You can now login and edit the CMS as normal. Imperial’s website was ranked second out of 152 higher education institutions in a Times Higher article surveying the best examples of visitor engagement and effective use of emerging technologies.
Lower sixth-form students were asked to review the websites of UK universities, rating them on their accessibility, the ease of making contact, use of online peer review, evidence of their unique role and character, and the amount of useful insight into life on campus.
Pamela Agar, Head of Digital Media and Marketing, is quoted: “[Imperial] encourages both students and staff to tag their photos of campus life and engage with prospective students through Flickr and YouTube. The Imperial site also features student blogs and “a week in the life” student profiles.”
