Three major webpages on the College website have been launched or refreshed over the last few weeks.

The new pages provide essential information about the ceremony and reception for graduands and their guests, including how to book tickets and gowns. There is also information for any staff who wish to attend the ceremony.

Information will be updated in anticipation of the deadlines by which the graduand needs to complete specific actions. Content will also be tailored towards the appropriate graduation ceremony – either Commemoration Day (for undergraduates, held in October) or the Postgraduate Awards ceremony (for postgraduates, held in May).

It’s hoped that by initially directing graduands and their guests to these pages, the number of phone and email enquiries to the Graduation team can be minimised.

A post on the College’s online Reporter site explains more about the launch of the Imperial iTunes U channel. All users with a College login can upload and publish content such as audio and video clips. It is hoped that the iTunes U platform will also be used as a repository for lecture materials, and that content will be produced with the intention of using it for iTunes U.

Information on how to upload content to the College’s media player, as well as to our iTunes U channel can be found on the Website owners’ guide.

Now in their third year, the Imperial College London student blogs have been refreshed with an exciting and highly interactive landing page. In addition, there are newly designed templates for the individual student blog pages. Visitors can move, stack, and even play basketball with the twelve animated bloggers. There are also links to a “making of” video, twitter feeds, Imperial College Union events, the College’s prospectuses, and top posts from previous years’ blogs. Also, click on the camera on the shelf for a surprise…
