A different specie may have begun by greeting with a hey, bonjour, salaam, namaste, guten tag, ni hao, aloha or something similar but preserving the tradition of our forefathers-in-electrical engineering I will begin the first post with our favourite quote: “Hello World!” [The semicolon in the title is NOT a mistake, if you haven't already figured that out].

This, being the very first post of this blog (and not at all at the best possible time!), will be more of an introduction to me. It will also give an indication of the sort of crap that will be regularly published on this space.

I’m a student of MSc in Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). I am new, not only at Imperial College, but also in London (and the UK). I originate from Pakistan and hence classified as an International student. (More on me and this blog here)

The few lines above and the esoteric title of the post is sufficient to establish that all future posts will revolve around me focusing on my life as a student at Imperial College, settling in London and my ramblings about anything that forms a part of me during this period. I intend to do a detailed post about my first impressions of Imperial and London for the benefit of prospective and international students soon (stay tuned). For now, I’m compelled to put a full stop here to avoid being crushed by the juggernaut of courseworks (…and the whinings begin). As I said, not the best possible time :)
