Welcome to the Physiological Flow Network
Funded by the EPSRC
The Physiological Flow Network aims to promote research interactions
between experts in the field of physiological flow modelling, and involves
mathematicians, biologists and clinical practitioners as well as
computational and experimental engineers. Specifically, the objectives of
the Network are to:
- To provide a forum for research interaction by organising regular
workshops;
- To establish broader collaboration and encourage joint grant
applications between the clinical practitioners/biologists and the
mathematical/computational modelling communities;
- To generate experimentally testable predictions, and mathematical
insights into physiological flow issues, as a result of the collaborative
work;
- To enable discussion on how mathematical and computational flow
modelling predictions can be tested by biologists;
- To encourage fluid dynamicists, mathematical modellers, medical
physicists and biologists to work on important applications in the area of
physiological flow modelling;
- To promote a wider dissemination of information in the area of
physiological flow modelling through journal papers, web-sites and
workshop proceedings.
