M2A3 One-Dimensional Fluid Dynamics
Click on the topics below to view course material and have the
option to obtain hard copy. The bmp files will view & print better if saved to disk first - if you double click on the saved file it will open in 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer' (if you are running Windows XP) from which you can obtain a good quality hard copy.
Minor amendments to model solutions
Many thanks to all who have pointed out minor errors etc. in the solutions. These changes have been made to the pdfs, but not to the scanned versions available here.
- Sheet 3 Answer to Q4. The denominator of the RHS of eqn (*) should be h_{2}, not h_{1}.
- Sheet 3 Answer to Q6. The integrand of the integral representing rate of change of momentum (per unit width) should be rho*u*h (h is missing).
- Sheet 5 Q2. The density rho should be assumed to be constant.
- Sheet 5 Q2. The final term in the last equation should be 2cdc/dx.
